We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Analyst, based in Dubai, to support our Risk & Compliance operations with a particular focus on supporting our Australian office, as well as our other entities.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a compliance professional with experience in Australian legal and regulatory frameworks to contribute to a dynamic, international legal business. Reporting directly to the Compliance Manager in Dubai, the Compliance Analyst will play a key role in maintaining global compliance standards, implementing regulatory solutions and ensuring best practices across the firm’s operations in Australia, UK and Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and proactive monitoring of firm-wide risk and compliance policies, ensuring they align with Australian regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct and oversee compliance checks and procedures for client onboarding and matter management, including the use of Legl and Armalytix tools for screening and source of funds checks.
  • Ensure that all matter-level risk assessments are completed, documented, and appropriately approved in line with firm policy.
  • Maintain and update compliance records, registers, and documentation to support internal reviews and external audits.
  • Research and interpret relevant Australian laws, regulations, and professional standards, and assist in updating internal guidance materials accordingly.
  • Coordinate with the global Risk & Compliance team to ensure consistency between Australian operations and the firm’s broader compliance framework.
  • Assist in the preparation and rollout of training sessions, policy updates, and internal communications related to compliance.
  • Provide analytical and administrative support in responding to regulatory inquiries, internal audits, and risk assessments.

Key Requirements

  • Based in Dubai, with the ability to collaborate effectively across international teams.
  • Previous experience in a compliance or risk management role within the legal, financial, or professional services sector, preferably focused on Australia.
  • Strong understanding or working knowledge of Australian regulatory frameworks, with UK and Dubai compliance knowledge considered a significant advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Organised and methodical, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with compliance platforms (e.g. Legl, Armalytix) is beneficial.
  • A proactive attitude and a strong interest in risk management, compliance, and legal operations.

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ or degree in law, business, compliance, or a related field.
  • Professional compliance certifications (e.g. ICA, CILEX, or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential.
