As we approach the end of an eventful year, we at arch.law want to take a moment to reflect on our journey and express our deepest gratitude for the unwavering support of our clients and members. 

It may not be a partridge in a pear tree, but it has been a year of remarkable achievements:

  • Global Expansion & Three New Offices: Expanding our global presence, including a significant new country opening.
  • Two New Solutions: Innovating to meet our clients’ evolving needs.
  • Five New Internal Support Team Members: Strengthening our backbone with dedicated professionals.
  • Twenty-One New Arch Members: Enriching our team with diverse talents across various departments.

Here are a few highlights:

  • January: The year began with the launch of our insurance audit solution, arch.audit, along with the arrival of John Davidson and Leigh Jones. We also welcomed Sally Marsden‘s team, who brought a new edge to our Litigation specialty, and Natasha Istanbul took on the role of our Practice Manager.
  • February: A milestone month as we expanded into Canada with a five-member arch.audit team, establishing our collaboration hub in Toronto.
  • March: Our internal team welcomed Joanna Blackman, our dedicated cashier, and James Wright, who took charge of recruitment and onboarding. 
  • April – May: We strengthened our financial operations with the arrival of Paige Costello and Alastair Young. Their expertise contributed significantly to our finance team.
  • June: A pivotal moment with the launch of our Leeds collaboration hub, to support Lee Gaddes and arch.convey. Lee was joined by Danielle Heckler-Biglin as they focus on providing high-end conveyancing services.
  • July: Christine Lau joins our Australian team in Melbourne, focusing on commercial and employment law and in Manchester we welcomed Patrycja Pietek to the arch.audit team.
  • August – September: Karl Foster joined us in Bristol, expanding our offerings in the FinTech sector, and Mark O’Donnell in London brought us his corporate  and commercial expertise. Looking after our global operations, we were also delighted to welcome Jonathan Patterson “JP”  as our first COO.
  • October: Daniel Pollick joined as our strategic advisor on IT and Nina Terry joins in Sydney to support our arch.convey solutions in Australia. 
  • November – December: The year concluded with the introduction of arch.recover, supporting victims of fraud, and the addition of specialists like Mark Montaldo and Tom Blanchfield. Finally, we welcomed Clarence Leung in Sydney who specialises in private client services. 

Gratitude & Future Outlook

Each new member has been a valuable addition, bringing unique skills and perspectives. We are grateful for the role you play in making these expansions possible. As we step into 2024, we look forward to continuing our journey with an even stronger and more diverse team.

Although Andrew is an employment lawyer by training, over the last fifteen years he has built up extensive experience in leading M&A activity with professional services firms including leading the listing of DWF Group plc on the main market of the London Stock Exchange. Andrew uses these skills to advise strategically on inorganic growth opportunities for all types of professional services businesses, in conjunction with other members of arch who support on the necessary legal work. Andrew is also the Chair of The Legal Director and a NED of Summize which gives him great insight into how the respective businesses can collaborate to further the interests of our clients.
