Joe is Head of Agriculture Law and specialises in the Farming & Agricultural, Construction, and Residential industries. 

Joe advises Agricultural & Rural clients on a wide range of matters including:

  • Acquisitions and Disposals of farms, estates and rural land;
  • Transfers of rural land between family members;
  • Mortgaging or refinancing agricultural land;
  • Farm Business Tenancies;
  • Grazing Licenses;
  • Rights of way, wayleave agreements, overage & option agreements and easements. 

Bringing a great deal of knowledge handling commercial interests, Joe is able to advise his clients on a range of business related matters including company formations, shareholder & partnership agreements, Contracts, joint ventures & agri-business agreements and more. 

Joes broader practice has seen him handle some notable projects including:

  • The purchase, development and disposal of a 30 bed care home; 
  • The purchase of a prominent hotel in Essex;
  • The purchase, sale and letting of various pubs & restaurants;
  • The site acquisition, development and disposal of a 400 unit mixed use development.

Joe also has a wide range of experience acting for HNW/UHNW individuals in residential property matters. Bringing a calm, technically accurate, pragmatic & decisive approach to an otherwise stressful process, he strives to make the process as simple and stress free as possible. 

Outside of the office, Joe enjoys playing golf, travelling, spending time socialising with friends & family and playing the piano.
