At arch.law we are always on the look out for great quality lawyers. We recognise that many lawyers in large law firms often find it difficult to receive the investment and support that they need to enable their careers to succeed. If you become part of arch.law, we will do everything we can to ensure that you realise your potential. We are looking for individuals that have a desire to push on and achieve more – we want to support and enable them to do that. We promise that you won’t be constantly distracted from being able to practice the law because of internal demands. You also won’t have to constantly bill more each year as there are no billable hours targets and you don’t have to charge high hourly rates to justify large central overheads. Your client gets a better deal but so do you.

How much you can expect to earn with arch.law

With arch.portfolio your personal service company will retain between 70% and 85%* of the revenue you have billed and been paid incrementally on a sliding scale. The more revenue generated, delivered and paid, the greater the allocation to your personal service company.You also get recognised for the referrals that you make – receiving up to 15% of the value of a referral made to another lawyer in arch.law.

*The percentage attributable to you for work that you introduce and deliver through arch.portfolio will vary incrementally up to 85% on the highest increment of revenue billed and paid.

There are three ways of
working with arch.law...

Aimed at senior lawyers and other senior professionals delivering legal services who are confident in their work generation abilities and have a proven track record with supportive clients, arch.portfolio enables a lawyer to form their own personal service company (PSC) as a sub-contractor of arch.law. The lawyer receives up to 85%* of the fees that are billed and paid within the PSC together with up to 15% of any fees referred elsewhere.

Designed for maximum flexibility, arch.resource allows individuals to register within our bank of professionals to be available on a contract-by-contract basis to support lawyers throughout the business, and sometimes our preferred partners as well. arch.resource isn’t just available to qualified lawyers – we would see support team members as well as paralegals regularly wanting to work in this way.

We recognise that self- employment isn’t for everyone. People may decide to sacrifice potential earnings for security and a regular income. arch.direct provides a fully-employed career structure for those individuals that want this career path. Sometimes individuals choose arch.direct as a stepping stone to arch.portfolio.
arch.direct is the best employment route for employees that do not work externally with clients but play an important role in developing arch.law.

Our flexible approach enables an individual to move between these different ways of working during the tax year.

The three different ways of working are also designed to suit groups of people who are used to working together and want to continue to do so. The lawyer in arch.portfolio can employ directly but arch.direct will also consider employing directly on a case by case basis to take the risk away from both the arch.portfolio lawyer as well as the more junior lawyers who aren’t yet ready to join arch.portfolio.
