Aisha is a Risk & Compliance Manager within arch.law, responsible for overseeing the Compliance and Risk Management framework across its Dubai and UK offices ensuring adherence to SRA Standards and Regulations and AML/CTF obligations under UAE law. Her role includes engaging with regulators to ensure ongoing compliance, maintaining an effective audit process driving continual improvement across the firm’s practices, ensuring risk assessment procedures are effective, consistently applied and enhanced in line with best practice.
Aisha began her legal career 10 years ago at Liverpool Crown Court, before moving into risk and compliance with global banks and international law firms. Most recently, as Senior Compliance Officer for a government entity in Dubai, she specialised in complex high-risk client investigations relating to AML/CTF and sanctions and assisted with internal and external audits in which Aisha played a key role in the company’s successful attainment of ISO compliance certification. A key achievement in Aisha’s career was being chosen to speak at a global Corporate Tax and Compliance Summit alongside Government Officials from the Ministry of Economy and industry experts from KPMG, where she discussed how to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape in the UAE.
She brings cross-jurisdictional expertise in regulatory compliance, AML, and governance, with a focus on maintaining robust compliance frameworks and professional integrity.
When Aisha is not working, she is a keen padel enthusiast and likes to escape the hustle and bustle of Dubai to explore the surrounding Wadi’s and mountains for camping and hiking trails with her dog.
