Christine is an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Law (Law Institute of Victoria), holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Melbourne and has practised law for over 30 years.  Having worked as in house counsel for companies in various industries, Christine understands and has dealt with all legal issues faced by companies from employment law issues to government tenders, government and private client contracts, insurance contracts, Fair Work mediations, compliance issues and general risk management.  Understanding and managing stakeholders’ expectations is an important skill which Christine has acquired in her various roles which contribute to her ability to approach issues in a confident and solution oriented manner. Christine often acts as quasi in house counsel for her private practice clients, pre-empting issues before they arise and advise on risk management strategies.

Christine’ private practice comprises advice on joint venture projects, shareholder agreements, business structures,  finance arrangements, drafting of all types of commercial contracts (procurement, marketing, sales, manufacturing), dispute resolutions between shareholders, leasing arrangements, business sale and purchase transactions, estate planning and business succession planning.

As a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Director course (GAICD), Christine understands the workings of company boards, their relationship with the operations and executive arms of businesses, good governance and is in a position to advise directors not just on their legal duties but also on corporate governance, risk management issues that go to the core of all good business operations.
